Makes 8–10 squares

Ingredients

  • 3 cups crispy puffed rice cereal
  • ½ cup nut butter (almond, peanut, or cashew)
  • ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ¼ to ⅓ cup Evive protein — discover it here
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • (Optional) 2–3 tbsp dark chocolate chips or seeds (chia/hemp)

Instructions

  1. Melt gently — In a small saucepan over low heat (or in the microwave in short intervals), warm the nut butter and maple syrup together until smooth.
  2. Add flavour — Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and salt.
  3. Add the protein — Fold in the protein off the heat to avoid clumping. If the mixture gets too thick, add 1–2 tbsp of milk or plant-based drink.
  4. Combine — Pour over the cereal and gently mix until evenly coated. Fold in any extras if using.
  5. Press & chill — Press firmly into a parchment-lined pan. Refrigerate for 30–45 minutes.
  6. Cut & enjoy

Pro tips

  • Perfect texture: too dry → add 1 tbsp more syrup; too soft → add 2 tbsp more cereal.
  • More dessert-like: swap 2 tbsp of maple syrup for honey.
  • Protein note: plant-based protein may need a little extra liquid.
